CompreThe Godfather 2 é o segundo game baseado na série "O Poderoso Chefão". Assim como seu antecessor, o novo título coloca o jogador na pele de um mafioso, e em uma trama retratada além da história presente nos cinemas.

Após ser promovido para o status de "Don de Nova Iorque", o jogador tem de expandir seus negócios a novas cidades, enquanto alimenta a reputação de sua família através de extorsões, monopólios e vitórias sobre outras famílias rivais. Para isso, você conta com o auxílio da função "The Don´s View", método inovador e extremamente eficaz que permite a visualização periférica de locais inteiros enquanto o jogador amplia os negócios de linhagem.

Além disso, ao utilizar a visão, é possível construir, defender e expandir seus locais de comércio e, ao mesmo tempo, observar os movimentos e planos dos grupos oponentes. Caso algo não muito agradável aconteça, o jogador pode atacar famílias inimigas contando com a ajuda de membros extremamente capacitados, especializados em diversas áreas úteis para a invasão.
O mundo aberto de The Godfather 2 leva o jogador a locais como Cuba e Miami, em plena década de 1960. Em conflitos corpo-a-corpo, os movimentos foram aprimorados e a ação se encontra mais visceral do que nunca.
